How it all began

You probably know the feeling – after a chill day of skating, just hanging out and reflecting on the session. In the summer of 2019, there were many of those days. I was sitting with my son, talking about how many fails it takes before a Tre Flip lands clean. We gave each other tips and wondered if anyone even remembers when they first started landing the trick. And we asked ourselves why there wasn’t a tool to easily record our tricks and sessions without anyone else’s help. How awesome would it be to have a history, analyze your tricks, or even have a digital coach?

The idea wouldn’t leave my mind: what technology could capture the movements? Could a sensor on the skateboard record the tricks? I talked to other skaters about my idea. Alongside lots of positive feedback, these conversations sparked even more great ideas: a digital judge, displaying the best skate spots in town, playing Game of Skate without being in the same location, or even a social network just for riders?

I assembled a team of specialists from my network. Over two years, we worked hard with many setbacks, but even more successes, developing the sensor and app. We successfully built the first prototypes and, in early 2022, took the plunge and founded SPINNAX.

Our Vision

What an insane feeling it is when you push your personal limits. When all the effort, the time, overcoming your own fears, and the pain were worth it. When your body goes wild and you feel the rush in every fiber. A landed trick after countless fails, blasting high over the coping and sticking it, completing an entire session successfully, winning a Game of Skate, hitting a new high score on a trick combo…

We want to get you off the couch, push you to improve, and make sure you’re having fun! We want you to feel it as often as possible. The ultimate rush!

We want to give back to you what the sport and the community have given us. That’s why we develop with you and for you.

Who’s Behind It

Axioms are self-evident principles or fundamental scientific laws. They are the result of countless observations and form the foundation of all our sciences. Of course, we at Spinnax are also guided by these axioms – but we want to question them, explore new paths, and step off the beaten track. When necessary, we aim to turn axioms upside down wherever we believe a new approach can deliver better results. That’s what the name Spinnax stands for – spin ’n axiom – in the truest sense of the word. We want to be part of the revolution, not just the evolution.

We seek challenges to push boundaries. That’s who we are as a team, and that’s how our products are too.
